PERSONAL
Ryan is a fourth year senior finance major from Mason, Ohio. This is his third year with the OSU club baseball team and sadly his last before moving on to bigger and better things. In high school Ryan was first team all league and all district, as well as all state as a senior. Ryan was heavily recruited by top Division IA programs coming out of high school, but Ryan thought that Ohio State’s club team would give him the best opportunity to play at a major league level. Ryan was given the chance to try out for the Cincinnati Reds last year and only played a few less games for them than star centerfielder Ken Griffey Jr. Ryan also played football in high school, but his main passion was chess. Ryan actually went to Russia his junior year to compete in the Junior World’s Chess Tournament where he placed a disappointing 3rd behind Ivan Van Samuellson and Microsoft’s Blue Chip machine. After graduating, Ryan went to Evil Medical School. If coach would have put him in in the fourth quarter they’d have won state; no doubt in my mind, because back then he could throw a pigskin a quarter mile. Shoes and socks.
