At Ohio State - April 22, 2001
Senior Chad Lowe's diving catch in left-center field helped the Bucks hold
on 4-3 to complete a two-game sweep of the Miami RedHawks. The win put
OSU's conference record at 7-1, setting up a pivitol series with Central
Michigan next weekend. With one out and nobody on in the top of the seventh
and the Bucks clinging to a 4-3 lead, Miami third-baseman Affable stroked
what appeared to be a certain extra-base hit. However, the speedy Lowe
raced over, laid out, and came up with a spectacular, clutch grab. In
addition to his fine glove work, he also added a RBI triple. Junior Paul
Kollman picked up his fourth win in as many tries, and freshman John Huddle
tossed the final 2 1/3 innings to get the save. Kollman's ERA now stands at
a Pedro-esque 0.65.
