At Kent State - May 5, 2001
A four spot by the OSU offense in the top of the fifth broke a 4-4 tie, as
the Bucks completed a doubleheader sweep of Kent State with an 8-4 triumph.
Key hits in the all important fifth came off the bats of freshman Nick Tucci
and sophomore Ryan Noward, both in the form of 2-run singles. Freshman
Jason Goodman paced the Buckeye offense with 3 hits, including a bases loaded
triple. Meanwhile, sophomore Brad Martin came on in relief and went four
innings, allowing just one hit while striking out eight to pick up the
victory.
